Foundation (1902): Real Madrid was founded on March 6, 1902, as "Madrid Football Club" by a group of enthusiasts led by Juan Padrós. King Alfonso XIII granted the club the title "Real" (Royal) in 1920.
Early Years: Real Madrid had success in regional competitions during its early years. The club won its first Spanish Championship in 1932.

Recent Success (2010s): Real Madrid continued its success in the Champions League, winning four titles in five years from 2014 to 2018 under the management of Zinedine Zidane.
